Audi has presented the 3rd-gen Q5 to the global audience, incorporating Audi’s new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC). The Q5 now owns a refreshed design and a longer equipment list.
Exterior and Interior Design
The new Q5 sports a revised exterior, boasting a slightly smaller grille, slimmer Matrix LED headlights and a redesigned front bumper. The rear end is highlighted by connected LED tail lamps and a dual-tone bumper.
Inside, the Q5 twins its cabin with the upcoming India-bound Q6 e-tron, featuring Audi’s exclusive MMI panoramic display with an 11.9-inch digital driver’s display and a 14.5-inch touchscreen.
There is an optional 10.9-inch display available for the front passenger. The cabin is adorned with Audi’s new three-spoke steering wheel, flat at the top and bottom.

Powertrains and Specs
The Q5 offers three powertrain options:
- 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (204hp)
- 2.0-litre diesel (204hp)
- 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol (367hp) with the SQ5.
All engine variants are fixed with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a 48V mild-hybrid system.
Pricing and India Launch
The new Audi Q5 comes with a price title of €52,300 (48.59 lakh INR) and the SQ5 is tagged with €82,900 (77.02 lakh INR) in Europe.
The India launch is likely scheduled for the coming year with Mercedes Benz GLC and BMW X3 as the market competitors.
